Sustainability is a top priority for Lindt &Sprüngli. Where do you want to go from here? The long-term economic success of the com- pany is only possible if our actions demonstrate equal accountability to society and the envi- ronment. Our efforts focus on sourcing raw ma- terials through our “Lindt&Sprüngli Farming Program” and reducing our environmental footprint with the important goal of being car- bon neutral. He then moved to the food sector in 1987 to work with chocolate and coffee at Jacobs Suchard and Klaus Jacobs Holding. After holding senior positions at these companies in Canada and Switzerland, he joined Lindt&Sprüngli in 1995 as the Group’s Chief Financial Officer. He has been CEO of the Group since 2016. All our great products with whole nuts, including the “Les Grandes” bars and the “Piemonte” pralines, of course. What is your favorite chocolate? Night owl. I get going more slowly in the mornings but prefer working late into the night in peace. Early bird or night owl? A well-balanced mix of the two is the perfect combina- tion for me. Innovation or tradition? We must endeavour to keep up with the rapid change of the all-­ encompassing digitalization. In order to achieve this, we don’t just need the technology itself, but, above all, highly qualified and mo- tivated employees. Modern technology or employees? In the pursuit of long-term corpo- rate success, we must promote growth and sustainability equally and fully integrate them into our business model. Living sustainably or pushing for growth?
