33 Creation — 175 years of chocolate history WITH A LOVE OF DETAIL Following the example of the Master Chocolatiers, Lindt&Sprüngli still pays a lot of attention to details. — Not every work step can be automated and carried out by machines, and it may therefore amaze some people to learn that Lindt employees provide the icing on the cake by hand. For exam- ple, they carefully place the sugared almonds on the “Praliné Amande De Luxe” and the chocolate beads on the “Perle de Cacao” to perfect the sweet gems. Handiwork is also used with the world-famous Gold Bunny. Each one of the 1-kg Gold Bunnies is wrapped in gold by hand and is given its unmistakable red ribbon with a little bell.
