41 Creation — 175 years of chocolate history success product. However, our passion for chocolate has stayed the same. Your passion for chocolate is everlasting and you and your team surprise us with innovative ideas time and time again. How do you man- age that? My team and I enjoy trying out new and rather unusual chocolate combinations. We are also constantly identifying new trends, which we develop together with our market- ing team. The most exciting novelties that have been successful with our chocolate testers are then followed up. What do you think makes a Master Chocolatier? Our day-to-day work is a calling for us. We are of course also very proud to work for a company like Lindt&Sprüngli, which has written chocolate history and now stands for Swiss quality and delight around the world. Continuing this tradition, and developing and improving ourselves in terms of creativ- ity is what drives us every day. Could you give us a glimpse behind the scenes of a particularly successful product develop- ment? We can be very proud in this respect be- cause we actually have quite a few. At the moment, I am particularly fond of the three “ Excellence Passion 70%” products with “ orange and almond pieces”, “ raspberry and roasted hazelnut”, and “ caramel and sea salt” that we have now launched on the market. However, Lindor is and will continue to be the most exciting success story, which, with over 30 flavors, is now one of the most famous pralines in the world. Could you maybe tell us an idea that didn’t make it to the shelves? We have a few of these too. I think they’re unbelievably exciting chocolate creations that you would not expect.
